In Brownsville, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Texas vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. You can reach D'Alva's Auto Services at (956) 550-0281; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 30 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Brownsville.

Brownsville is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brownsville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We've taken both our 10 year old truck and car with Mr. D'Alva. We've been very happy with the quick repairs (1-2 days) and affordable prices. Our vehicles 🚗are back on the road, driving smoothly. He's polite and friendly, a pleasure to work with. 😊

Super fast, was not ready to go to pick up my car the very next day. At a great price he got my 15 yeard old car driving like new! Super honest too, i told him i thought there was a problem with the transmission after we picked it up, he said it was another part that he changed and it fixed it. so we didnt need to spend on the transmission.

I look my suv there for a/c work. Owner told me that it was gonna be $300 for everything. He called me 2 hours later that it was ready. When I showed up he explained that once he started working on it it only needed a new relay and replacement of some o rings on the condenser. And a recharge on the coolant. He charged me $75 for everything. He is honest and I will take everything to him for now on. Good work.
